This product is made from 10-micron high-density polyethylene, a synthetic polymer-type plastic, which is a recyclable material.

Please note: it's important to note that we're talking here only about bundled sheets, not bundled bags, as sheets are much thinner than bags.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PEHD AND PEBD PLASTIC

There are a variety of different polyethylene plastics: high-density pehd, low-density pebd and medium-density pemd (less common).

First of all, it's important to know that there are 2 main categories of plastic used to make bags or sheets. The most widespread is polyethylene, which is a polymer-type plastic often used in food packaging But there's also plastic made from natural materials, which is considered biodegradable, also known as bioplastic. The difference between the 2 is that, on the one hand, pehd (high-density polyethylene) is rigid and resistant, and is more suited to fast-food and take-away outlets, thanks to its solidity.

On the other hand, low-density polyethylene (LDPE), the most widely used food-grade plastic, is flexible and stretchable, and is more commonly used by caterers and bakers.
