How do you define recyclable packaging?

Packaging considered "recyclable" or "ecological" is packaging that can be processed at the end of its useful life, and then used again. It is therefore an ecological product, because it reuses the same material instead of producing a new one, in order to preserve natural resources. What's more, by recycling we naturally limit the amount of waste we produce, and therefore our ecological impact.

Materials such as kraft or wood are 100% natural and renewable, and are biodegradable, recyclable, recycled and compostable. Bioplastics can also be found in the food packaging sector. There are bioplastics known as "biosourced", meaning that their raw material comes from biomass (plants, plant waste), and biodegradable bioplastics, which are supposed to degrade faster than normal plastic under the right conditions, by breaking down into simple elements (carbon, oxygen, hydrogen).
